David contributed to Romantic Detachment (2004) developing his ‘Lone Barefoot Pilgrim’ character with a trek across America and a tour of musically significant sites in NYC. He extended the role for further work in the Lake District as part of Cumbriana Proof (2005) and worked with a London Youth group to create a musical event at the Coniston Water Festival a battle of the bands between Urban R&B and the Coniston school swing band, humiliating Jonathan Griffin in the process.
