At Grizedale

The New York-based collective eTeam (Franziska Lamprecht and Hajoe Moderegger) utilised a whole marquee as part of the 'Let's Get Married Today' project, creating a special booth for people to entertain two sheep who, according to eTeam and local farmer legend, had been married for so long that they couldn't even be bothered to watch TV together anymore. A range of props were provided to take into the booth and perform to the sheep with, which ranged from masks and newspapers to jewellery, t-shirts and guitars. The performances were secretly filmed which encouraged young and old to be daring as they were under the impression they were doing the sheep a favour in private...

The duo's work revolves around land-use issues and other socio-spatial interventions, and often takes the form of long-term projects, for example, 'Second Life Dumpster' (2007-2008) and 'International Airport Montello' (2005-ongoing), wherein time is just as much an artistic component of the final result as anything else.
