Francoise is an artist who makes "sculptures often using textiles-based materials and processes. Inspired by Michel de Certeau’s concept of the art of making in the everyday, the work aims to celebrate the vernacular and creative skills that are invisible, marginal or lost through migration, socio-economic changes and globalisation, whilst referring to the concepts of object détourné, hybridity, trans-cultural experience and identity, and the practice of cultural resistance."

Francoise took part in 'In a Dark Place' in 2000 and hasn't been seen in these parts since.
