At Grizedale

Jonathan is a writer and critic, and L.A. correspondent for Frieze magazine. Before flying out to find Hockney’s vision of sun and splash he studied at Ruskin School of Art and graduated to the open arms of Grizedale Arts in 2001. His big break came when he landed the role of Tiny Tim in the 2001 Christmas pantomime. He continued to make art and took part in a number of Grizedale shows throughout the first half of the decade, before fully establishing his writing career. In 2009 he co-wrote and edited the long-time-coming Grizedale Arts compendium, ‘Adding Complexity to Confusion’.
