There are currently no new residency opportunities for artists at Grizedale Arts, however we are always happy to talk to artists about future possibilities and projects.
The residencies at Grizedale Arts are structured as an intrinsic part of the onging evolution of the organisation and its context. After an initial period of research and development, artists come and go as required, over long periods of time. As such this is not a retreat residency, but an ongoing set of relationships that develops the artists, organisation and its constituencies together. There is an emphasis on the civic responsibilty of artist and organisation, using creative processes to improve the conditions of life. There is a strong curatorial hand that is informed by the idea that the art should have effect within the local or wider socio-cultural ecology.
To keep up to date on opportunties subscribe to our monthly newsletter at the top of the hompage, this keeps subscribers up to date on residencies, events and projects.
Uncurated and self programmed residencies are on offer at Low Parkamoor which can be hired for artists or groups to pursue a course of activity without too much critical input from Grizedale staff. The deadline for this is ongoing.
